When you think of the most influential figures in the music industry, the name Dan Russell might not immediately come to mind – but it should. As a musician, producer, artist manager, and creative collaborator, Dan has quietly been shaping the music landscape for decades.

Dan’s journey began as a singer-songwriter and guitarist after graduating from Walpole High School in 1974. During his college years at Barrington College in Rhode Island, he discovered a passion for songwriting that would later define his artistic journey. However, as his career progressed, his focus shifted towards working with other artists, producing records, managing careers, and contributing to some of the most iconic music of the past few decades.

Over the years, Dan has worked with an impressive roster of artists, including U2, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Bruce Cockburn, Sam Phillips, and more. His career includes over 50 album productions, as well as his management role in the formation of Soulfest – New England's premier Christian rock festival.

In 1994, Dan received a Grammy nomination for his production of Strong Hand of Love: A Tribute to Mark Heard, and his journey continued with groundbreaking work in artist management. But perhaps most notable of all is Dan’s recent return to the spotlight as a recording artist. His 2017 album Feel the Echoes was followed by the release of Echoes in 2024, produced by Jesse Mark Russell and released under MiS/Universal Music Group. The album's title track reached the top 25 on the National Rock Radio Airplay chart, proving that Dan's artistry is as relevant as ever.

Now living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Dan is more in-demand than ever before, thanks to his unmatched depth of expertise and insight into the music industry. With a lifetime of passion, dedication, and authenticity behind him, there’s no telling what’s next for this musical renaissance man.
